Small Town coffee ☕️ Roastery & Cafe. 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗗 𝗜𝗡 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗞𝗔𝗥𝗢𝗢 - shipped countrywide 📦

When I think of the perfect cup of coffee, I think of sitting on our stoep with my dad enjoying a fresh cup, lovingly prepared by my mother. This treasured memory inspired Maria’s, a place where my family’s passion for coffee has been realized. A true labor of love, at Maria’s we take the time to savor every step of the process and use only the very best specialty grade Arabica beans in our roasts. We think you’ll notice the love and care that we put in from your first sip to the last drop.

Some days the coffee comes to you. Our Karoo to Cup truck serves Paarl, but it carries the Graaff-Reinet name on its side as a nod to where our story began. And yes, that raised cup is a hello. Friday plans, weekend errands, a reason to pause on the way. If you're out and about in Paarl, keep an eye out for the red and white. We'll have a cup ready and a wave waiting.

𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲 𝗗𝗮𝘆! ☕🫶 Andile's smile says it better than we can. Behind him is a wall of Groot Kerk, Karoo Veld and friends, roasted in our two roasteries in Graaff-Reinet and Paarl. Each bag carries a little of our story. Today we're raising a cup to everyone who grows it, roasts it, pours it and shares it with someone they love. That includes you.

Head down, cap on, and a counter full of orders to get just right. The people behind our counters in Graaff-Reinet and Paarl are the reason your cup arrives the way you like it, and the reason you're greeted like a regular even on your first visit. Wave hello next time. They'll wave back.

Some things can't be hurried. A pour-over asks for a steady kettle, a slow circle of water, and a few quiet minutes of watching the bloom rise. It's a small ritual, and one we never tire of. From Graaff-Reinet to Paarl, the waiting is half the pleasure.

Monday doesn't have to rush. Find a patch of morning light, let the milk settle, and give the first cup the attention it deserves. Whether you're pulling up a chair on Somerset Street in Graaff-Reinet or along Main Road in Paarl, we'll keep a table warm for you. Start slow. The week can wait a minute.

Sunday in its simplest form: sun on the stoep, a little one busy with their own important business, and something warm within reach. Coffee has always been a family thing for us. It started as a tribute to Ouma Maria and carries on today in Graaff-Reinet and Paarl. Here's to slow Sundays and the people who make them.

Mountains at the back, trees all around, and a white-walled roastery tucked in the middle. This is our home in Paarl, at Hoog-en-Droog on Main Road. It has the same heart as Somerset Street in Graaff-Reinet, just a different view out the window. If Saturday is asking for a drive, come and find us in the valley or in the Karoo. Bring someone you like.
