The Messy Raven Pizzeria

30/09/2026

After much consideration, we have decided to bring our journey to a conclusion. As such, we will be permanently closed as of 30 September 2026.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to every single person who supported us throughout the past year, whether it was by popping in for a tasty pizza, leaving a review, or just sending some words of encouragement our way.

It has truly been a wild and wonderful adventure and we are looking forward to what lies ahead.

Cheers to the future!

A True Oudtshoorn Masterpiece!

They say the CP Nel Museum houses the most beautiful heritage in town... but we think this ravenous masterpiece gives it a run for its money!

We stopped by the museum today to celebrate the history of our beautiful town. At The Messy Raven, we believe in tradition, that’s why we still use a slow, 3-day fermentation process for our dough. It’s an old-school craft for a modern appetite. After you’re done soaking up the history, come soak up the flavour! Sink your claws into something legendary.

Which do you prefer: History books or Pizza boxes? (We know our answer!)

It’s all in the hands!

✨ There’s something hypnotic about the way our dough moves. No machines, no shortcuts—just a bit of flour, a lot of patience, and the perfect stretch. At The Messy Raven, we embrace the flour-dusted counters and the "messy" process because that’s how you get that incredible, airy crust you love. Watching our team shape the "nest" for your toppings is half the fun!

We’ve got the dough ready, the oven is hot, and we’re just waiting for you to pick your flavors. Watch until the end to see that perfect stretch! What’s your favorite topping to put on this canvas?

3 days of Magic in Every Slice!

✨& Ever wonder why our crust has that perfect crunch and airy "fluff"? It’s not magic, it’s patience! (And maybe a little Raven mischief). While most places rush their dough, we let ours rest in the nest for three full days. This 3-day fermentation is the secret to that signature Messy Raven flavor. It’s light, it’s bubbly, and it’s the perfect canvas for our local olive oil and garden-fresh toppings. Good things come to those who wait... but lucky for you, the wait is over!

Our fresh batches are ready for the oven. ' Are you a "crust-first" or a "middle-out" kind of eater? Let us know below!68 Van Der Riet Street * 066 000 4694
