After being harvested (either by hand or by machinery) raw rooibos bushels are fed to a carving machine and transferred to something called a tea court. Here the tea is crushed and fermented. Gradually it becomes red. Next, the tea is dried in the sun before being transferred, blended and packaged. Finally, our delicious Bokkeveld Rooibos makes its way to you, our customer!

The value of the fruit of land is shared between farmers and surrounding communities, allowing both groups to participate as a single unit in the entire value chain of rooibos tea, through the Bokkeveld Rooibos factory.
