Tomo Izakaya
The Name Tomo in Japanese means friend and Izakaya means a type of informal Japanese pub. They are casual places for after-work drinks, therefore its a prerequisite that we hold our very own liquor licence.
We opened our doors on the 1st of February 2018, tucked away in Kyalami on Main Shopping Centre. Tomo Izakya is known in this short time for serving the most divine signature sushi and Japanese Cuisine dishes.
Our two chefs take pride and masterfully craft each dish with passion and precision. One Chef comes direct form Japan and the other Chef comes from the V&A Waterfront’s famous Willoughby & Co... no need to trek to Cape Town any more for world class sushi!
Our restaurant is perfectly suited for intimate parties of any nature as well as corporate events, holding a seating of up to 40 people. During the summer season we have tables outside for alfresco side walk dining!
