The unusually high rainfall over the last few days has caused the river to flood. The access bridge to the Sudwala Caves can not be used. Please do not attempt to come to the caves until the water has subsided and it is safe to do so. The caves and restaurant will be shut until the 27th January 2021. Please see our page for updates.

Corona Virus Update
Inline with government recommendations the Sudwala Restaurant will be closed for 21 days starting on the 26th March until 16th April. The butterfly park will remain open and free for anyone that would like to visit. We are unsure how long quarantine restrictions will continue to be enforced, but will release updates on our website and social media platforms as we find out more. Corona Virus Update.
The restaurant will continue to operate during this difficult time but we have implemented the following measures to help reduce exposure for both our staff and guests.
If you are unwell, have a temperature, cough or any visible sign of illness please don't come to the restaurant until you are recovered. See a doctor and follow recommended guidelines to ensure you don't infect other people.
We will not be allowing entry for anyone that may be a hazard to our other guests. We have sanitiser stations for hand washing and will be disinfecting high use areas on a regular basis.
We have reduced our staff and will only be using staff members that don't have to use public transport to travel to work.
We will be increasingly vigilant in all areas of hygiene and operate in excess of standard practices. Our staff will be temperature checked daily and monitored to ensure they wash their hands at scheduled intervals.
We apologise for any inconvenience any of this may cause and hope we can get back to normal operations as soon as possible .

The restaurant will be closed on Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays for the month of February. We will be open 7 days a week starting in mid March.
