Local boy Brendan Brokensha has returned to his roots, and has set up the unique dining experience that is The Tree in Sodwana Bay. Brendan owned five successful pubs in the UK, serving pub fayre, upmarket gastro and lastly, American Dining. He won a host of awards including “Britain’s Second Best Burger” which was no mean feat in a rapidly expanding fast food market and “Bedfordshire’s` Top Chef”

. Brendan returned from the UK last year and feels he is back where he belongs, in Sodwana, cooking for an appreciative crowd. He derives huge pleasure from watching people enjoy his food. His recipes remain a closely guarded secret! His specialties are burgers and he travelled the length and breadth of the US to find the perfect burger, which when he did, put his own spin on it and made it a bestselling burger, On Sunday`s his roasts are legendary. If you want food cooked by an internationally trained chef, who is local, loves everything about Sodwana, the people, the cultural mix, the weather and the stunning surroundings - then visit The Tree and experience a gastronomic delight in quirky surroundings where inspiration has been gleaned from his worldwide travels.
