Executive Mayor Andrรจ Truter resigns with immediate effect, his last day in office will be today Saturday 31 January 2026.
Deputy Mayor Charmaine Laubscher will take over immediately, after which the process to appoint a new mayor will begin.
Andre Truter will be heading for the private sector and new adventures.
