I would like to introduce you all to Skill. It's officially his first day operating our Small Coffee Co. pod at Hirsch's Homestore in Fourways and I'm genuinely so proud of him ❤️
Skill hails from Alex and was previously working as a junior. I met Skill one Saturday morning in August when he made a coffee for me at gym. I was just so impressed with his lively personality.
Long story short, I half landed up conceptualising Small Coffee Co. with Skill in mind because he represented the kind of guy that just needs to be given a solid opportunity in order to thrive.
Today, Skill is operating our first pod after weeks of training with Avanti Coffee and he has a clear path toward owning equity. He still has to prove himself over time but I have such high hopes for this guy ❤️
My long-term hope is that we can use the Small Coffee Co. brand to find many more people like Skill and incentivise them with earned ownership. On the other side, I will personally be using any profits from my own shares to activate more small businesses across South Africa.
