Murder Mystery Dinner Night at the Red Clay Cafe, Hogsback 🧩 Hosted by Moon. 🌚

"Death by Chocolate" will reveal the secret of the brutal murder of Phineas Chogg, a Chocolate Magnate from 19th Century England. Fourteen characters, connected to Mr Chogg, will be invited to this dark dinner by none other than, the Ghost of Mr Chogg. You come dressed up and stay in character. Players, who are also the suspects, in the milieu of old England, will investigate each other. 🕵🏿‍♂️ You will receive your character, the police docket, which will include witness statements, crime scene evidence and autopsy report. Secrets will be shared. We end with the big reveal by Mr Chogg himself, who has a trick up his own sleeve. 🍫⚰️

Kurt calls his style of music ‘Epic Folk Rock’ and his voice has been compared to those of, among others, Eddie Vedder, Chris Rea, The White Buffalo, and Leonard Cohen. Kurt has a fresh, unique sound and very compelling, deep voice. His music is gaining traction on streaming platforms and one of his songs reached number 12 on the SA Top 40 on MixFM.

The show is varied, and includes original songs by Kurt as well as songs by Leonard Cohen, Eddie Vedder, Rodriguez, Chris de Burgh, CCR and more. He will be joined by Gerrie G who is a well-known session bass player for various bands and songwriters in the Eastern Cape.

Originally from Cape Town, but now resident in Bathurst, in the Eastern Cape, Kurt has toured extensively along the garden route and up to as far as Clarens. He first began performing in South Korea between 2006 and 2014, where he played with various expat bands. After Korea he returned to Cape Town and took a short break before returning to performing in 2019.
