No plans for Heritage Day? We’ve planned your perfect day at MyAfrica Farm 🇿🇦
Heritage Day is all about celebrating our beautiful country, its people, food and outdoor lifestyle and there’s no better place to do it than on the farm!
Here’s how we’d spend the day:
☕ 09:00 | Begin with breakfast on the Farm
Start the morning with a delicious breakfast and freshly brewed coffee at Alpaca Cafe, surrounded by beautiful mountain views. Breakfast ends at 11am
🦙 10:30 | Meet our farm animals
Say hello to our friendly alpacas and dwarf goats, feed the animals and the ostrich and let the children enjoy some time in the play area. Pack a change of clothes as we have a water fountain.
🏍️ 11:30 | Add a little adventure
Explore the farm on a quad-bike safari/ tractor ride or take to the air on our zipline. There’s something for adventurous children and adults alike! Tour sessions are on the hour, booking is available on the farm or pre book via WhatsApp.
🔥 12:30 | Celebrate with lunch & music
Settle in for a relaxed Heritage Day lunch as we light the braai at Alpaca Cafe and enjoy good South African food from Boerewors rolls, Wors and Pap, Milktart and refreshing drinks and quality time with family and friends.
🌄 1:30 | Slow down and enjoy the farm
Spend the afternoon enjoying the jumping castles, candy floss and pop corn station or relax beneath the trees and take in our spectacular 180-degree mountain views.
🌅 17:00 | End the day with a Lowveld sunset
Grab one last drink, find the perfect spot and watch the farm turn golden as the sun sets behind the mountains.
By the time you head home, you’ll have enjoyed great food, farm animals, outdoor adventures, family time and beautiful scenery, all in one proudly South African public holiday! 🇿🇦
