Some memories are made in a moment. Others stay with you for years🍦

For our 20th birthday, we asked you to tell us yours and you did.

From first dates and new beginnings to family holidays, comfort, and little moments that meant more than you realised, these are your memories of Gelato Mania.

Nothing rewritten. Nothing made up. Just stories, exactly as you told them.

Part 1 is here. 🤍
And there’s more to come.

We asked for your favourite Gelato Mania memory over the past 20 years. You left almost 10,000 comments.

One stayed with us.

For six years, Monique and her family made the drive from the Eastern Cape to Cape Town. Those trips were never easy. There was always one stop they looked forward to.

In her words: “There was always one highlight we could count on: our stop at Gelato Mania.”

They live on the Garden Route now. They still stop.
Monique Gertze Mentoor , the R20,000 is yours. Thank you for letting us be part of your family’s story.

And to everyone who shared a memory, thank you. First dates that turned into marriages. Grandmothers. Matric dances. First salaries. The one you call the penguin flavour. We read every single one ❤️

20 years. One family. One standard.
