Hi community

We would like to thank everyone for their support the last few days.

As everyone knows we started trading yesterday and unfortunately it wasn't without some problems, for that we are sorry.

We're still trying to get the hang of doing deliveries and with only one driver currently it can get a little hectic.

Therfore in order to comply with Government's curfew for food delivery, we will stop taking orders just before 18H00, to ensure that all our orders can be completed by the cut off time.

This will also enable us to make sure that all your orders are delivered before 19H30.

With regards to orders, we ask if possible to place as far in advance as possible. This will allow us to make sure we can assist you at the time slot you requested.

Once again we thank you for your support and ask you to be patient while we find our footing.

My name is Nikita Leonard. I am the owner of Al Fornos Restaurant, in Gordon's Bay. As most of you know, we had to close the restaurant from the 26th of March as part of the National lockdown.

I employ a handful of people fulltime and some casuals. Most of them are single mothers.

Our staff rely on our business for their livelihood. Since we are closed and not generating any income, I won't be able to pay salaries, rent or guarantee that they'll have a job to come back too. I have applied for UIF and other funding but the process has been undetermined and I am not sure if funding will become available.

I have paid out all the funds I have available, but it's not enough. My staff needs help now.

I know the lockdown has been challenging for everyone, but if you can help it would be highly appreciated.

Reaching my target will help me support my staff and help secure a job for them to return to.
