The Old Townhouse Restaurant The Restaurant is housed in the original Town Meeting Hall of George, built in 1848! After your meal, join hosts Janet & Bryan for a nightcap at the cosy bar.

The building has been a Restaurant since 1976, and hosts, Janet & Bryan have spent the last 10 years creating a warm and friendly atmosphere in this cosy corner of history. Choose the casual mezzanine deck indoors or in summer dine al fresco in the courtyard with its fountain and greenery. The Menu has developed over the last 10 years; the Townhouse has always been known for great steaks (Only top

quality Grain Fed Beef, carefully matured). They have developed a range of Excellent Seafood, Venison and special grills into a well rounded menu. Over the past year The Townhouse has introduced a range of Pasta dishes with pasta hand rolled on the premises! A Feature of the Menu is the Garden Fresh Vegetables and Salads served with main dishes. The starters are well priced and the Soups all home made. Janet’s Desserts & Home Made Ice Creams are simple and very tasty! Special Menus: Every week the Townhouse offers a range of special Starters, Mains & Desserts – Different starters, Seafood Dishes and Venison Dishes are on offer every week. The Wine List caters for a wide variety of tastes, from well priced quaffers to sophisticated dinner wines

Functions & Outside Catering - Janet has more than 20 years experience in the catering industry and can cater for up to 500! The catering team can advise on venue & equipment hire for all types of functions. The Townhouse caters for dinner parties up to 60 persons and snack functions of up to 80, specializing in business year-end functions and weddings up to 40 persons. Special Menus and décor are the order of the day. The Townhouse will live up to the motto “Simply the Tastiest” Food in the Garden Route!

Dear Old Townhouse family, it is with a heavy heart that I announce the end of an era. Operated as a restaurant since 1976, Bryan and I took over in 2001 and worked tirelessly to successfully run a business that was not just a restaurant, but an extension of our dining room.

Unfortunately, due to the chaos of 2020 and the sudden passing of the other half of our restaurant, Bryan, I have made the decision to permanently close our doors.

Thank you to each and every single one of our customers for your unwavering support through the years, customers that turned into friends and then into family are who we kept our ovens hot and wine chilled for.

Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas time and prayers for a blessed 2021.
