🤎 Favourite thing about working at Pause: “It doesn’t feel like work. I really enjoy what I do and I love working with the team.”

🔧 Fun fact: Before becoming a coffee roaster, this guy has been an elevator technician, worked in IT, been a barista AND a farrier… and now he’s roasting your coffee! Talk about a career journey.

Stop Believing These Coffee Myths ❌☕

Let’s bust 5 common coffee misconceptions ruining your morning cup.

Dark roasts have more caffeine: Light roasts actually retain slightly more caffeine by volume—dark roasts are just bolder in flavor, not strength.

Store beans in the freezer: Freezing creates condensation and destroys delicate oils. Keep beans sealed in a cool, dark pantry.

Espresso has the most caffeine: An espresso shot has concentrated flavor, but a mug of filter coffee packs almost double the total caffeine.

Boiling water brews best:
Water at 100°C pulls out more bitter and astringent compounds. Let it cool to 90–96°C for cleaner, better-balanced flavour.

Coffee dehydrates you: Caffeine is a mild diuretic, but the liquid in your cup fully counts toward your daily hydration.
