They are 4 weeks 4 days it's going Good..but about 5 chickens they weigh 1.5kg..I gues I have to separate them from the big ones so that get enough feed also..because they are being dominated by them. Thats poultry for you.But I'm happy with this batchπŸ’š

ADVANTANGES OF KEEPING CHICKEN FLOOR DRY OR DRY WOOD SHAVING

πŸ’š1. Better moisture control*
Dry shavings absorb droppings and spilled water well, keeping the coop drier. Wet bedding = stink, bacteria, and foot problems for chickens.
πŸ’š2. Less odor and ammonia buildup*
Dry bedding limits the breakdown of uric acid into ammonia, so the coop smells less and the air is healthier for both you and the birds.
πŸ’š3. More comfortable for chickens*
Dry, fluffy shavings give them a soft surface to walk, scratch, and nest on. Wet/moldy shavings can cause foot infections like bumblefoot.
πŸ’š4. Easier cleaning*
Dry shavings clump less and are easier to scoop out. You can do spot cleaning daily and full changes less often.
πŸ’š5. Lower risk of disease*
Moist bedding breeds bacteria, mold, and parasites. Keeping it dry cuts down on that risk.
πŸ’š6.Good ventilation
Wet wood shaving shows poor ventilation in your chicken house. Therefore make sure u have a good ventilation to avoid ammonia buildup up.

Broiler chicks .CLEAN WATER DECREASES MORTALITY

πŸ’šGive them stress pack or glucose water for 3days from Day 1. Keep glucose water for 12 hours and less.even f the glucose water is not finished you must change it.
πŸ’šAfter 3 days given them clean water..and change water and give clean water at least 2 times a day.
πŸ’šMake sure your drinkers are not under the light because they hate hot water and they won't drink it
πŸ’šOnce they are 1 week old raise the drinkers ..place them on top of a brick or whatever is suitable and available but make sure they reach the drinkers well.

1 day old broilers. This is called Brooding stage
πŸ’šWhen you receive your chicks u must prepare the room before arrival.
πŸ’š1.Need infrared light to keep the room warm and close all windows ,with temperature of 30 to 32 degrees in the first week.
πŸ’š2.Place wood shaving on the floor then put papers on top to prevent small chicks from eating it.
πŸ’š3.Place water or drinkers with Stress Pack (yellow fluid inside drinkers).
πŸ’š4.Stress Pack calmes down the chicks and decreases stress from them.
πŸ’š5.Then u can put your starter feed after drinking the glucose water.
