Over a decade ago a Krazy Kiwi Banker met a South African Accountant in London. The Krazy Kiwi proposed and promised if the South African marries him they will eventually move South Africa and raise a family. The Kiwi who is a son of a New Zealand sheep farmer and also agricultural graduate worked in abattoirs, bought life stock and learned to process meat before leaving New Zealand to seek his fo
rtune and as it turned out his wife in London. After having two lovey children who on their own accord decided that they are neither All Blacks nor Springboks but All Spring Blacks they finally moved to South Africa. The Kiwi decided that banking was boring and that he would like to return to his roots and his passion. The Krazy Kiwi Butchery and Deli was established in December 2011, and was a huge success. BUT, 9 years later, COVID hit. 2020 created an economic climate that was unprecedented in our lifetime, and as small business owners, they either had to seriously adapt or fail. The retail space lease was coming to an end, and with the situation looking as volatile as ever, the tough decision to close Krazy Kiwi Butchery & Deli was made. Thankfully, they had launched a new online venture, which took off just as the lease came to an end. Krazy Kiwi Kook Box was born, a new ‘cook like a chef at home’ offering, where the recipe development and shopping is done for you, and everything you need to create delicious and nutritious meals in the comfort of your own home is delivered to your door.
