What are we having this afternoon 🤔? I'm excited to have our traditional mutakura, which is a great source of fiber, vitamins, and minerals. It's also worth noting that our organic rich foods are perfect for emergency situations as they can be preserved for long periods.

What's your local name for mutakura?

Who knew kitchen basics could be such a vibe?

I needed a break from the scorching weather, so I put my veggie peeler to work 🥒🧅🥕💜

The Mix: Carrot, cucumber, red cabbage, and onion.

The Drizzle: A zesty homemade dressing using canola oil, vinegar, parsley and a pinch of sugar.

This got me a simple and crunchy salad exactly what a hot day calls for.

AI has been the talk of town, ever wondered how you can use it to create your own content or revamp your pictures?

Forget expensive renovations! Today, I want to show you how easily you can use AI to instantly create your dream kitchen reality (or fantasy!) without losing yourself.

I used my own photo and a simple prompt to generate this image! I still get to be Nubest Cuisines, just with a major high-tech upgrade!

The Challenge: Create Your Fabulous AI Kitchen Photo!

Grab a Self-Portrait: Find a clear picture of your face.
Use an AI Tool: Head to an AI image generator (like Microsoft Copilot, Midjourney or Gemini).
Use a Simple Prompt: Feel free to edit this prompt to fit your style:
"Using the provided image of my face, generate a photorealistic image of me in a brightly lit, minimalist, fabulous kitchen. The kitchen features sleek stainless steel appliances and a marble island."

✨ "Who Remembers This Team? The Heartbeat of Our Rainy Season Mornings!" ✨

Good morning, Zimbabwe! 👋

As the misty breath of the rainy season embraces our lands, this sight brings back so many memories.

Look at this incredible group of women, tete Mary, maiguru Mai Chipo, mainini Tambu, gogo Saru sharing a meal of warm sadza pabonde/rupasa before heading out. This isn't just breakfast; it's a ritual, a silent pact of sisterhood, and a gathering of strength for the long day ahead in the fields💪🏽🌽

Honestly, who remembers those early mornings when the gentle or not-so-gentle! nudge came to join them? Back then, being woken up before dawn to brave the dew-kissed fields or help with household chores felt a bit... annoying, right? 😂

But looking back now, as adults, we see the profound beauty and resilience in these moments. We’ve come to deeply embrace their hardworking spirit, their unwavering dedication, and the invaluable lessons learned. It was here, in these fields and through these shared tasks, that we understood the true meaning of perseverance, community, and the essential role women play in sustaining our families and nation.

These women weren't just cultivating crops; they were cultivating life, nurturing future generations, and weaving the very fabric of our society. Their hands tilled the earth, cooked the meals, and raised us all. It's a testament to their strength and often, their quiet sacrifices.

✨ Leftover Sadza vs. Porridge or bota : What's Your Pick? ✨

You know how much we love our Sadza it’s a staple that often leaves us with delicious leftovers, perfect for another meal! 😋 Just look at this plate of leftover sadza with some tasty veggies and meat.
BUT then there's the cozy, comforting hug of a warm bowl of porridge (like the sorghum or maize porridge we talked about earlier!) – perfect for starting the day or a light, satisfying snack. 🥣
So, if you had to pick just ONE right now, which would it be?
👉 Team Leftover Sadza
OR
👉 Team Warming Porridge

👩🏾‍🍼✨ 80s Kids, Come Closer, This One Is For You! ✨

She wakes up before the rooster, humming softly as she stirs sorghum porridge in a big pot.

Then comes the classic moment where
she blows gently on the spoon, tests the temperature on her hand,
and feeds you with that “open your mouth, mwana!” look that you dared not resist 😂

Whether you wanted it or not, she knew:
⭐ Sorghum porridge would make you stronger
⭐ Keep your tummy full the whole morning
⭐ And remind you that love is sometimes served in a wooden bowl

These were the days when breakfast tasted like home, discipline, and care…
And somehow it always felt like mama added a hidden ingredient called warmth.
