It doesn't matter which way you look when you visit us - you WILL experience and incredible view. These were taken in the dead of winter, and as spring has come, the scenery has started to change. Every season on the farm has its own unique beauty. Thank you winter, you were good to us!

During the Clarens Festival of Lights 2026, we’ll be heading there for a special stargazing experience, trading our festival lights for stars, planets and the vast darkness above the Maluti Mountains. ✨🔭

We’re very happy to have Highland Brew joining us as a festival partner and sharing this beautiful corner of Clarens with our visitors.

Because sometimes the most spectacular lights are the ones we don’t have to create. ⭐

Tucked away in the spectacular Maluti Mountains just outside Clarens, Highland Brew is a craft micro-brewery and farm kitchen where locally brewed b**rs, farm-inspired food and incredible mountain views come together. It’s also a place for adventure, with mountain biking and 4x4 trails, and, when night falls, some seriously beautiful skies.

During the festival, Highland Brew will host Reflections of Humanity – The Night Sky: Reflections of Our Shared Sky History by Clarens Stargazing Tours • Powered by Kåho.

Embark on a captivating 60-minute indoor journey through humanity’s timeless relationship with the stars. Through stunning projected visuals, discover the nature of light, ancient civilisations, celestial navigation, and modern astronomy—viewed from the perspective of our remarkable Pale Blue Dot.

Inspired by the 2026 festival theme, Reflections, this uplifting experience celebrates awe, curiosity, and our shared connection to the universe, reminding us that the same night sky has inspired every culture throughout history. Enhance your evening with an optional picnic-style meal and a selection of drinks available from the bar for your own account.

The experience concludes with an outdoor guided live-telescope observation of the Moon for a memorable opportunity beneath the night sky.

Thank you, Highland Brew Clarens Brew, for supporting the Clarens Festival of Lights and helping us create experiences that celebrate everything that makes this part of the Free State so special.
