When buying from an independent artist you are not only buying a pair of shoes, a beautiful painting, gorgeous jewelry or a tea cup... you are buying hundreds of hours of experimentation and failures. You are buying nights of worrying if you can pay the rent, buy more materials, having enough to pay the bills.
