The Vegan Goods Market’s mission is to provide convenient access to ethical, plant-based food and other vegan goods , whilst offering shoppers a communal environment for social interaction with like-mind

The Market draws on local resources and specialists as the primary traders, giving them an opportunity to expand their trade The Market aims to provide the trader with sufficient space and clientele to make it a sustainable market. The traders are expected to share the responsibility of the Vegan Goods Market’s growth and sustainability by promoting the popularity of the Vegan Goods Market. The Vegan Goods Market takes its role of providing ethically-sourced produce, free of all animal products/origin, preservatives and chemicals, very seriously. The market also sees itself as an educational resource for its community, regarding vegan living, healthy, ethical consumption and growing a consciousness about veganism and living in a kind, eco-friendly way.

And with one of our faves, , alongside her hubby , spending the day with us at the last market, we just had to share a little glimpse into all the goodness waiting for you this weekend ✨

From the comforting vegan mince samoosas & rotis from & .whisgary , to the juicy preggo “steak” roll from , the dreamy carrot cake from , and of course the completely addictive vegan biltong from … just know your cravings are about to be very well taken care of 😋

As we head into the very first weekend of winter, we’re taking style inspo from our VGM fam who always show up in the coolest, cosiest fits 🤎 From layered vintage jackets to thrifted knits, handmade accessories & one-of-a-kind gems, our market is proof that fashion can look good and do good too.✨

With our collaboration with the , you’ll find an incredible selection of locally made, thrifted & vintage clothing and accessories that not only keep you warm this winter, but also support a more sustainable way of shopping. Supporting local thrift spaces means supporting small businesses, reducing waste, giving pre-loved pieces a second life & choosing community over fast fashion 🌍✨

And honestly… there’s something so special about wearing pieces with history, personality & story behind them.

So for our very first winter market on SUNDAY, 7th JUNE, we want to see the FITS 👀❄️

Pop into the toasty log cabin to explore all the gems from — from local, handmade & vintage clothing to accessories, art & beautiful home goodies 🛍️

And under our cosy Bedouin tents, you can kick back, enjoy the soulful sounds from our talented local musicians, catch up with friends, or keep an eye on the kiddos while they enjoy the kiddies station 🎶🌧️💛

So whether the skies are sunny, moody, or somewhere in between, just know that your Sunday plans are sorted.

Get your groceries, good food, drinks as well as home and body products from a wonderful variety of small businesses that are excited to share their cruelty-free products and services with YOU. Then when you thought the sustainable experience was over, you pop over to the Thrift Fest Stalls to shop from a curated selection of goods (thrift and hand made) right next door to our market!

WHAT ELSE CAN YOU EXPECT?:
🌱 A WIDE variety of delicious vegan food & beverages (sweet AND savory).
🌱Local, handcrafted & cruelty-free home & body products.
🌱 Lots of shade and seating.
🌱Ample parking facilities.

The market has always been a safe space for many of us. We want to make sure that it continues to be a safe space for everyone 🤗🌸🌱

We come bearing some sad news 😓

Unfortunately we have to cancel our market this Sunday, 26th April due to an extremely rainy day predicted this Sunday.

We really are bummed because your excitement for our market this weekend really fueled us and we were so looking forward to see you all again, but safety comes first! Not just for you guys traveling to our market, but also for our vendors, their assistants, stock and equipment.🌱

And we’re celebrating the end (but not the end too✨) of Cape Town Pride Month with our beautiful market on SUNDAY, 1st MARCH, at The Range Tokai, in collaboration with the 🌱

As VGM continues to grow, one thing remains, our commitment to BUILD, GROW & CELEBRATE COMMUNITY💚 We are so excited to be joining our sisters, brothers, and siblings as we celebrate LOVE FOR ALL this weekend!🌈
