Hi guys , it is with sadness that I have to inform you all that Masa Buca is no more we have closed our doors end of September 2020 . In this trying times with uncertainty over opening and restricted hours of trading we realised it was not viable to hold on to a place and continually owe the landlord rental while the pub remains closed. The landlord has found new tenants and the pub is now called 'The Green Parrot". We as a family have grown to know most of our regulars on a level more than just as a customer. We have met people from all over the world and from all walks of live and we loved all that walked through our doors. I want to thank all for their patronage and loyalty. The process of starting over after 13 years now begins . We wish you all a happy 2020.1 , better than 2020. Love to all Gary , Buddy and the family .

Hi guys , since my last post on 24th April things have become a bit dire. We are on lockdown day 114 . Sale and distribution of alcohol has been suspended , again . I fear we will not be opening soon . So I give my bank details or use my PayPal account which I created, for any donations to help keep Masa Buca open/afloat (the landlord still wants his rent albeit a reduced amount because he too has bills to pay ) any amount would be greatly appreciated.
Also to help support the staff members that have not earned anything since lockdown began . It is not like me to ask for such financial help but things have become desperate. All donations received will be posted weekly . Thank you in advance for your support.

So , our President addressed the SA nation earlier to night and announced the the ban on alcohol will be reinstated with immediate effect . Curfew also to resume from Monday from 9pm to 4am . Looks like Masa Buca is going to be closed for much longer . Guys , any donation, $10 , every little bit helps .

Hi guys , I hope everyone is safe and staying sanitized . I hope this lockdown could wind down now . I miss seeing the regulars and playing dominoes . I miss sitting and having helpers doing the crossword puzzles with me .
I miss DJ Ninja playing her brand of music . I miss the pub! Alas, I don't think we will be opening soon .
We have not had any income since the 18th of March . I have three permanent staff members , that are going through a difficult time financially. I do not have funds to give them anything , I too am financially spent . So... If there are any persons able to donate or pay forward for a round or two of drinks when we reopen , it would be highly appreciated. It would be used to give some aid to the three staff members ( one of them is over 70 yo.and has been with me for 14 years , and hopefully to restock if and when we can reopen . DM me for details .
