This beautiful little garden cafe is tucked away in the backyard of The Opposition,a quaint interior design store in Bergvliet. The tables are scattered around the porch and in the garden at the back of the shop and there is a cosy inside section with couches and a fire place for rainy days. Freshly baked muffins and cakes are offered daily, in addition to a range of breakfasts, lunches and a vari

ety of fresh juices, drinks and Origin coffee. This is a place to come and relax, and enjoy a cappuccino with a friend, read magazines and completely unwind in a tranquil oasis that feels like home.

Our dear Vince lost everything in a devastating fire in IY over the weekend.

Vince’s green thumb and golden heart are the reason our Backyard garden has flourished so beautifully. He pours so much care into this space, and we are utterly heartbroken for him and his family.

We would love to help them get back on their feet, and we’re calling on our incredible Backyard community for support ✨

If you have anything you’re able to donate (beds, mattresses, bedding, furniture, appliances, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, clothing, toiletries, groceries/pantry items, building materials, or anything else that might help a family start again) please DM us and we’ll arrange collection. We’ll also have a drop-off point at the café for the next few weeks.

Clothing sizes needed:
• Men’s 34 pants / M top (shoe size UK9/10)
• Women’s S/M (shoe size UK3)
• Girls 7–9years (shoe size UK12)
