After seven years on the Foreshore, YU Asian Restaurant has reopened with a refreshed interior.

For founder and restaurateur Rory Jossel, the update was about elevating the dining experience while staying true to what guests have come to expect from YU. The refreshed space, along with new menu additions launching on 1 January 2026, reflects an ongoing engagement with both local and international food culture, without losing the consistency and quality that have defined the restaurant since opening. Located on the ground floor of The Onyx Hotel, YU remains a cornerstone of the Foreshore dining scene — now with the confidence and foundation to continue evolving.
