🌶️appreciation post🔥 I first tasted 'Nduja some 11 or so years ago, living in London, where it was just becoming the next viral ingredient. Soon after that I arrived back in Cape Town to start , but alas, nobody seemed to have heard of 'Nduja, nevermind knowing how to pronounce it! Nobody, it seemed, except for . Imagine my delight when I learnt SA's most prestigious maker of guanciale, coppa, bacon, also made' Nduja! Thank you Richard!

If you haven't tried 'Nduja yet, get it from or , pronto! Spicy hot, smokey, fatty, delicious, use it like you would bacon or guanciale lardons as the base for a ragu, or spread it on some bruschetta, or, my favourite, combine it in a sauce with freshly cooked black mussels 🤤, or, my other favourite, ask us to add it to your proper Neapolitan pizza, this weekend, only at . Pizza Proper, hot af, since 2013.

For a vegetarian alternative, swap the sausage with garlic Portobellos, or have it on a vegan Margherita. Heck, have it on a Bianca base for something completely unique! See you at the market 🍕❤️

Representing Cape Town's finest producers. Richard Bosman, thank you for your 'Nduja. Don't know where we'd be without it. Frankie Fenner, your pepperoni is so legit, American's have asked me who imports it. Puglia Cheese just sets the standard, bottom line! All cooked in the oven of all ovens, masterfully built by Eco Pizza Ovens and Pizza Proper. Sorted!
