Apologies again, I have even had a website designer try to repair the problem with my front page, I am at a loss as to how to fix it. If any body thinks they can help, please let me know. Meanwhile, I am having two specials this Saturday the 12th May, from 5pm onwards, double Klipdrift brandy and coke for only R15, with Klipdrift prizes. Also, for only R100, a delicious 200 gram sirloin steak, egg and chips and a one and a half litre jug of Castle. Booking is essential for this special, and every booking will receive a genuine Gilbert Rugby Ball.

I'm having a big problem with my admin on the front page, I have tried 10 times to delete the post about karaoke, it will not delete for some reason, all I get is a whole page of strange letters. Even Dean who is an expert couldn't help me. I will have to ring my domain host in the morning to find out what the trouble is. Please bare with me until I get it sorted out.

Karaoke next Saturday 28th April, come and join us for a fun filled night of laughter and song. As the evening progresses it gets better and better, could be something to do with the drinks that make us think we can actually sing. Hosted by our favourite songster, Dave, who sings a pretty mean Elvis. The next General Knowledge Quiz is on May 8th, starting at 7.30pm as usual. As this is a popular event, hosted by Dave and Dan, please be sure to book your place in advance to ensure you are not disappointed. Come and try our new specials, additions to our menu which are proving to be very popular. Tender sirloin Steak, egg and chips with crispy to***co onions for R60, plain home made 200 gram beef burgers with our special home made chips and crispy tobbaco onions for R45, cheese burger R50, and bacon and cheese burger for R55. We are still serving all our usual popular meals that have been favourites for 18 years, and as always we have a different freshly made delicious R30 special every week. Watch this space for even more new additions to the menu. All weekday meals presently being served from 12 to 3 pm daily.

A fantastic Saint Patrick's Day, and a great party night. Wonderful to see so many new faces, as well as all the regulars. The prize for the best dressed lady was won by Casandra, she looked brilliant, and everybody in the Oak won a spot prize. Thanks to all the girls behind the bar, they did a great job. Next karaoke will be on Saturday 31st March, come and join in the fun, sing if you want, listen or just have a laugh. Everyone joins in and enjoys the camraderie, even those of us who think that they can't sing.

Wow, finally got the web site back, what a mission. Well, the karaoke night and Valentine's Day came and went already, but tonight, February 21st, is the General Knowledge Quiz. Starting at 7.30 as usual, and the teams are already booked in. Hopefully there will be no more technical problems, so watch this space for the next announcements.

Technical problems with acquiring my new host domain, so heartfelt apologies for the lack of information and news over the last month, but I'm pleased to say that I am back online. Our next karaoke night will be Saturday 18th February, it's always good for a laugh so come and join us. As it is Valentine's Day on the 14th, our next general knowledge quiz will be held on Tuesday 21st February. We will not let Valentine's Day pass though, there will be a complimentary cocktail for all the ladies, free snacks and party time for all. Be sure to check out this weeks Happy Hour from 6 - 7 pm for the specials. We all remember and love Natalie, well I'm happy to say that she has returned to The Royal Oak, yea! A new addition to our family, Dave is now busily pleasing all the day time customers with his friendly, speedy, efficient service with a smile.
