Rest in peace, Aegir.

I don’t think Aegir needs much of an introduction. Most of you know him all too well.

From the very first day we opened, you became part of the brewery, then the tap room and through all of our growth you been by my side. Always friendly and welcoming, creating smiles and laughs….heck, I still remember hiding behind the counters and holding you up as a puppy pretending to serve customers.

You had a way of being noticed without ever asking to be. Calm. Gentle. Steady. The kind of presence that made people feel comfortable the moment they met you.

And if you spent enough time here, you probably know the look… the one where he’d be sitting beside a table, eyes locked onto someone’s bacon, convinced that if he stared hard enough it might somehow float directly into his mouth but would never dare help himself!

He was more than just a dog.
He was a genuinely good soul.
He was my ultimate friend.

I think a lot of people are going to feel your loss. The space you’ve left behind can never really be filled. But just because your vessel is gone, doesn’t mean you’ve left my side.

I’ll carry you with me forever.

I miss you boy ❤️

It’s Porcini season🍄‍🟫, you know what that means!
Delicious pizzas for a limited time - starting with this guy, bianco base, onion marmalade, caramelised porcini lemon zest and an obnoxious amount of parmesan! 🤤🫃
Pairs well with any of our beers! 🍺

Some serious heavy lifting, next level Tetris skills, and one very anxious babysitting shift later, she’s finally home and in her place, stoked!

More tanks. More beer.
Huge love to the team that made it happen. 🖤🍺

NEW BEER ALERT!🚨🍺
SUCK THE POWER (7%) DDH IPA

It’s said right before impact. When skill alone won’t handle it, when the required speed is too high and the margin for error is tight.
This isn’t confidence. It’s a summon.
A pull of energy from the chaos ahead, commit fully and jump in without hesitation.

This one leans into it, saturated hops, full send energy, no half measures.

SUCK THE POWER!

𝐌𝐲 𝐍𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐥𝐬𝐨𝐧 (𝟔%)
New Zealand Pale Ale

This one leans heavily into Nelson Sauvin, with all the Kiwi hops sourced directly from in New Zealand.

Motueka, Rakau with a heavy focus on Nelson Sauvin all layered together at 35g/L dry hop, leaving this thing completely saturated with the good stuff.

Expect dank aromatics, fresh papaya, soft citrus and that unmistakable gooseberry note Nelson is known for.

Soft haze. Bold hop character.

You didn’t choose Nelson.
Nelson chose you.

Thanks for the epic artwork

📣NEW BEER RELEASE📣
Windmill Society - Munich Dunkel (4.8%)

And yes… the wind finally did something useful!

Such a rad collaboration with who finally put the South Easter to good use!
The only working wind powered mill in Southern Africa! These legends have fully restored this historical landmark and allowed us to come and mill our grain. Not often you get stone ground mill for beer!

The payoff is smooth, easy drinking, rich with caramalt depth and a soft pillowy finish.

Thanks@to for the rad artwork!

On tap today and cans available from the taproom!

New beer launch — Ode to the Harvest
2024
(Artist Block) - Spontaneous Fermented with Colombard grapes

Launched this Thursday! I’ll be there handing out some tasters and talking through the details.

Ode to the Harvest 2024 was left to sit a little longer in the bottle, quietly conditioning until she decided she was ready. This one asked for patience. So we listened. The result is bright, layered and deliberate, lively acidity up front, pineapple and soft Turkish delight notes drifting through, finished with a clean mineral snap and gentle biscuit undertones beneath it all.

This is a beer built for time. Cellared correctly, it’ll keep evolving for years to come.

Artist Block - We found ourselves circling ideas, none quite landing. Eventually, we recognised it for what it was, an artistic block. Rather than resist it, we embraced it. The block became the idea, both in concept and in illustration.

This vintage sees a co-ferment of lightly-hopped Golden Ale and freshly harvested Colombard by . It rested and fermented spontaneously in French Oak barrels for 12 months, before finishing in bottle where it remains on the yeast.

Spontaneously fermented. Patiently resolved.

Available now, in very limited numbers.

Introducing: 𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑯𝒂𝒛𝒆 (6.6%)

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT? A DECADE! 🤯

We’ve hit 10 years and that’s entirely thanks to all of you!

It’s no secret we’re suckers for a hazy, juicy pale ale, so to celebrate a full decade there was really only one option: make exactly what we love, exactly how we love it.

And yes… we kept adding hops.
Then adding more.
And then a little more after that, until this beer was saturated, glowing, and juicier than anything we’ve ever put out.

𝑩𝒊𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒅𝒂𝒚 𝑯𝒂𝒛𝒆 (6.6%) Hazy Pale Ale
A gloriously hazy pale ale that’s soft as a daydream and bursting with tropical mango, pineapple and a whisper of passion fruit, all lifted by bright citrus flashes of orange zest and grapefruit sparkle.

Fresh, fluffy, fragrant and brewed for the celebration.

Available from today. Limited amount!

Thanks to for all the years of epic artwork 😁🍻
