🌸Story Time🌸
Yesterday we had our first order for 2026 go out, sadly I couldn't take photos because my phone is broken and its rather too much to use the laptop and try to capture a picture, needless to say, I asked our customer to forward us pictures when she starts to bake off. Now it was only one order and this left us with some leftover Pie filling and Pastry, so I quickly slapped together a Homemade Steak Pie and a salad for us. Fam, I cried like a baby last night - all happy tears, I spent the last two years trying to make my own Puff Pastry - my husband enjoyed the pastry from the get-go, I wasn't too convinced I was doing a good job but I kept trying until I got it right and I did, light, fluffy, crispy/flaky on the outside and a buttery layers on the inside. I turned to my husband and asked him to help me, he asked with what, I said "I need to stop underestimating myself, I need you to help me stop" and I burst out crying and said to him "You have no idea how this is making me so happy right now" needless to say he literally enforces positive energy, shows me my worth and tells me "others underestimate you, you don't underestimate you" every single day.
Now we don't get support from family and having started a business with little to no capital, fighting depression, handling a household has not been the easiest of tasks, I am certain this business was supposed to be on top already but instead of always trying to succeed or place myself at the top, I focussed more on doing what I love and doing what I love gave me the slow progress, I have taken time to perfect my craft, I choose quality all the time. I also put a lot of effort into doing this...
We are coming back - no official date as yet but we are making a comeback and this time its going to be even better than before🤞
