A Polish streamer named Łatwogang started a 9-day livestream to raise money for children fighting cancer.
His goal was $2,500.
Poland had other plans.
Celebrities showed up. Companies donated hundreds of thousands at a time. People shaved their heads live on camera. A Polish rapper named Bedoes wrote a song with a little girl named Maja — a child battling cancer — called "Diss na Raka" (Diss on Cancer). That song played on loop for 9 days straight.
Over 550,000 people watched at the same time. The entire country came together.
By the end, Poland had raised over 170,000,000 złoty — more than $42 million — for children with cancer.
100% of every dollar goes directly to the kids.
