Gabriëlskloof is one of the producers that helped put Bot River firmly on the map. Under the guidance of winemaker Peter-Allan Finlayson, the estate has become known for wines that balance precision, freshness and a strong sense of place.

Working with a variety of vineyard sites across the Bot River region, Peter-Allan focuses on minimal intervention and careful vineyard selection to allow the character of the fruit to speak through each wine.

Our Santé series didn’t start in a dining room.

It started here, in Bot River, around a table, with the people who make the wine. Before menus were written, we cooked, tasted, talked and listened.

For Chef Matt, Bot River was the obvious place to begin.

This was Santé Bot River, before it reached Bree Street.
