How blessed are we!

A huge thank you to Denise and the community of Kays Community for your very generous donation of not only shoes and clothing but the furnitre donation for the elderly people that lost everything in the fire.

And also a HUGE thank you to Christel from Ocean Breeze Hotel in Strand for your donation of pillows, towels, curtains and bedding.

I can not wait to have everything packed and ready to be handed to everyone.

We are truly blessed to have people like you in Strand.

On saturday 24 May 2025 6 elderly people lost everything they had in a fire when the house the they rented rooms in caught fire.

They lost everything they had. One man has severe burns and was treated in hospital.

We are in dire need of the following:

Shoes
Clothing
Toiletjies
Towels
Bedding
Pillows
Non perishable foods
Single beds

And for 4 of the people we need a place to stay. A room to rent. All are still employed.

Unfortunaely I did not take pictures of the bread and veggie as well as meaty bone donations.

But we were able to give 42 people a warm tub of soup and bread tonight.

Please note that I refuse to take pictures of anyone receiving any food.

The people we help is already humiliated by begging for food and I will not humiliate them any further.

On the other hand. I will always post pictures of donations, prepping the food, finished food, where I start to dish up and when done dishing up.

Even if things did not work according to plan and we had to wait a day, we will be giving some warm soup to the less fortunate people tonight.

We would like to thank the following people for the donations.

Mr. Garlic for the containers that we will be handing out the soup in
The lady that gave the lovely FRESH veggies for the soup
Sgt. Kriel from Strand Police for the potatoes and the meaty bones.
And lastly the lady that donated the bread. I can unfortunately not remember your name.

Without you guys I would not have been able to do this. You are true angels.

Good evening everyone.

At first I want to thank the aady for her donation of freah out of thr garden veggies for our warm meal drive. We truly appreciate.

We cirrently are still in need of meaty bone, 4in1 soup mix, soup powder, containers with lids, bread and margarine, ti feed our people in need.

Then I am in need of pants and shoes for a lady living in her car due to life happening. I spoke to her and she showed me that she is actually looking for employment. She is 60 years old wirh no family. She is wearing a size 46 pants, 2xl top and a size 8 shoe. I. Anyone has anything for her, please contact me.

Evening everyone.

Hope you are all doing well.

Today I come to you asking for help.

With winter slowly creeping up on us I would like to be able to assist 200 children each with a warm bowl of soup and 3 slices of bread. For some if them that will be the only meal for the day.

We are in need of the following:

Meaty bones
Carrots
Potatoes
Leeks
4 in 1 soup mix
Soup powders
Bread lots of bread
Margarine for the bread

DO NOTE THAT NO CASH DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
