Dear Friends of Black Mane Butcher & Grill ,
Over the past few months, we’ve been listening closely.
Our December menu launch at Black Mane Butcher & Grill here at Kgalagadi Lodge sparked something we didn’t quite expect — opinions at opposite ends of the table. Some of you loved it. Others felt we missed the mark. What’s become clear is that we haven’t yet found the middle ground, and that matters to us.
Black Mane has always been about honest food, good fire, and a place where people feel welcome — locals, travellers, and friends passing through the Kgalagadi alike. Your experience at our table is part of that story, and right now, we’d really value your voice.
Alongside the restaurant, our lodge shop forms part of that same experience — from the products we stock to the way it supports guests, travellers, and the local community. As with our menu, we’re constantly refining it, and your thoughts on what works, what’s missing, or what you’d love to see more of are just as important to us.
We’re not asking for praise — we’re asking for honesty.
