Galapagos Land Iguanas can actually change their color slightly depending on their body temperature and the environment.
In the morning, they often look darker to absorb heat from the sun more efficiently. As the day warms up, their yellow and golden tones become brighter — helping them regulate their temperature under the equatorial sun. ☀️
Nature designed them perfectly for survival in the volcanic landscapes of the Galapagos.
