🎉 Camp Market Day: A Big Success! 🎉

Today, we held our exciting Market Day, where parents supported our young entrepreneurs by buying crafts made by the kids. After the market, we counted the total sales and learned how to calculate expenses and profit.

After a few days of planning, creating, and selling:
• The girls’ team earned a profit of 573 from their capital of 4,280, making a total of 4,853.
• The boys’ team earned a profit of 238 from their capital of 3,374, making a total of 3,612.

More importantly, here’s what the kids learned during the camp:
• The difference between needs and wants
• How to budget their money
• That even small capital can still make a profit
• To buy just enough materials to avoid waste
• That effort and hard work add value to their crafts and help them sell faster
• That we can earn money not only by doing business, but also by working

We are so proud of our students for their teamwork, creativity, and real-world learning. This Market Day wasn’t just about selling—it was about building smart, confident, and responsible young learners. 💪✨

Today, our kids learned about the idea of “working” 💼✨
Besides selling things, they discovered that another way to earn money is by working and using their own skills and effort.

They became little weavers today 🧶
All materials were provided, so the kids didn’t need to pay anything. They worked individually, focused on finishing their own pieces, and after completing their work, they got paid with toy money 💵

It was a great way for them to experience the idea of “work first, get paid after” and to understand the value of effort and responsibility.

In the afternoon, time for activities 🏀🎵♟️
Basketball, Go (Weiqi), and Ukulele classes to keep both minds and bodies active!

Today at camp, our kids practiced real-life math and business skills through a fun hands-on activity 💡

They learned how to:
💰 Plan a budget for materials
🧮 Calculate costs and manage their spending
🏷️ Set prices for their crafts
📈 And understand how to make a profit

The crafts were the tool — the real focus was learning how to make smart financial decisions, avoid overspending, and turn their ideas into a “business” practice.
A great way to learn math, budgeting, and basic entrepreneurship in action!

Today’s mini economics game was so much fun! 💰✨

The kids used their toy money to buy materials from the teacher and build their own cash register. The winner would get double the money based on how much they spent.

Here’s the fun part:
The girls’ team spent more money on materials, so they made a more detailed and well-designed cash register.
The boys’ team saved their money for candies 🍬, so their cash machine turned out simpler 😆

The teacher also sold candies to see who would save and who would spend — a perfect lesson about needs vs wants.

Learning about money, choices, and priorities through play!

So… maybe the family’s finances should be managed by the woman? 😜💪
