About Us
Originally from Brooklyn, NY, owners John & Sarah Joyce first visited St. John in 2011 and fell in love with the island. At the end of their vacation they made a promise to return and one day make St. John their home. Their dream started coming true when they purchased a home on the Island in August 2018. Then, six months later they were offered the lease for the former Wok on the Beach Restaurant. The opportunity was too good to pass up. John quit his job and booked a one-way ticket to paradise. After several months of hard work including adding a large outdoor bar and creating a new brand, they are thrilled to bring their dream to life as The Danforth. The Danforth is a waterfront restaurant in Coral Bay. The location offers cool breezes and a beautiful bay view. The unique menu highlights the vibrant flavors of the Caribbean and the local seafood from these waters.
