🌵 DID YOU KNOW? — RICK’S KITCHEN MONDAYS!

🇮🇹 Did you know that during World War II, Italian prisoners of war were stationed right here in Yuma?

In 1944, Italian POWs helped the U.S. Army test floating bridges along the Colorado River — bridges that would help American troops overseas!

But here’s the surprising part…

These prisoners were actually allowed to visit Yuma once a week! 😲

They also left behind stonework, including a little building decorated with castles and the word “Italy.”

Imagine the stories those old walls could tell!

Just another fascinating piece of Yuma history hiding right under our noses. 🌵
