That’s chowdah. Thick. Creamy. Loaded with clams and potatoes. The way nature intended.

And before somebody says, “What about Manhattan clam chowder?”

No.

Manhattan clam chowder is tomato soup that wandered past the seafood counter and got ideas.

Clam chowder should be rich. It should be creamy. It should be hearty enough to count as lunch.

Putting tomatoes in clam chowder is like putting ketchup in your coffee. Is it technically possible? Sure. But why are we doing this to ourselves?
