Dear Valued Customers,

It is with a heavy heart that we must announce the permanent closure of Golden Gate Express on Saturday, July 8th after 30+ wonderful years of serving this community.

For three decades, you have dined with family and friends at our tables, sharing stories and making memories over delicious meals and laughter. We will never forget the joy you have brought to our family. However, running a business has not been easy, especially in the recent years with pandemic. We’ve struggle with product shortages, huge increases in food & labor cost, and constantly being short-staffed. We are just extremely burned out in general. After 3 years of battling, we had a opportunity to change directions to pursue something less straining on our body & health. We also intend to relocate to be closer to Ping & Grace, now that they’re getting older.

To each and every one of you who has ever dined or worked here—thank you. You have been the heart and soul of this place for over three decades. We are sad to say goodbye to a community that we’ve spent so much time with, but we are so grateful for your constant support throughout the years. Though we are closing our doors, we will always remember and cherish the years we’ve spent in York.
