Hi there!

I’m looking for volunteers this week for packing and moving our items out of the space and into a pod in the driveway at my current location!

*maybe you don’t want to pack but want to assist in keeping the kids corralled during this time. That helps too! They will be at the cafe two toddlers age 2.5 a 7 and 9 year old.

I understand that everyone is busy and it’s summer in Maine. It’s ok if this doesn’t work for you but I appreciate anything anyone can offer ❤️

Meal Menu & Catering .... ...just two more chances until we move out, officially,from our Yarmouth Space

Hello fine folks!

I am here at the Yarmouth Space for just a week and a half! I have a meal menu available to you and am offering catering during this time!

MEAL OPTIONS & SCHEDULE!! - please read as there are two pick-up offerings!

this will be our last offering temporarily while I finish up packing and moving our stuff out.

Please continue to stay tuned to emails as we will likely offer meal program pick-ups and catering after that locations etc. TBA when we release the menus. . 5. We are collecting miscellaneous pieces from folks who may have items they want to get rid of. This helps to keep start-up costs down, reuses something old made new again which is helpful to the environment ( our great earth), and helps us to tell a story of community from an authentic and genuine way! Examples include tables, chairs, cutlery, dishes, bowls, glassware, artwork, etc. Hopefully it would save you a run to goodwill!
6. Oh and like our requests before positive reviews on GOOGLE & FACEBOOK and spreading the word about us for folks to follow our new journey!

Today is our last day at Magno Terra Café.

I don’t know if there are enough words to express what this little café has meant to me, my family, my team, and this community.

What began as a dream grew into so much more than a place to grab a cup of coffee or a sandwich. It became a place where friendships were made, milestones were celebrated, difficult days were made a little brighter, and countless conversations were shared across the counter.

To every customer who chose us, every regular who became family, every child who grew up visiting us, every vendor who supported us, and every employee who poured their heart into this place—thank you. You helped build something truly special.

While today is the end of this chapter, it is not the end of Magno Terra.

We’re taking everything we’ve learned, every relationship we’ve built, and every ounce of passion with us as we work toward our next home. I truly believe the best is still ahead.

If you’re able, stop by today to say hello, share a memory, or simply enjoy one last coffee with us in this space. It would mean the world.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for believing in me and in Magno Terra.

OUR TIME HERE IS almost DONE. PLEASE READ our exit plan!

To our Dear & Beloved Community,

Our time here at the Eartha Building is coming to an end.

OUR LAST DAY OPEN AS THE CAFE WILL BE FRIDAY JULY 17TH!

Toni will be available for the meal program and catering the following two weeks until 7/30

Magno Terra Continues...but it won't be easy but I guess it never really has been. This will be long

Where to: While we are hopeful to move on and continue, the path forward is still being created. We have a location. It needs a lot of work so we cannot share a location or timeline just yet.

In the in between:
Ok, so it is important that we stay connected with you and keep things going somehow. So in between, all staff will be let go : ( I have tried very hard to not have that happen but have also been transparent with staff of this very possibility.

I will be working on catering and having the meal program going from July- End of August taking a break for my sanity somewhere in there. More details on catering and meals after we close.

The goal of catering and meals is to stay connected with our community, continue to create revenue to fund our future and to uphold our financial responsibilities that don't go away when the cafe does.

We hope you will continue to follow us and see where we take melas and catering in the in between. We hope to have pick-ups in Portland & Yarmouth...maybe some nearby pop-ups too!

What do we need? When we made the initial announcement that we would be closing we reached about 45,000 people. When we made the announcement that we were here a bit longer that message reached about 2500 people. This has had a SIGNIFICANT impact on our typical summer business and there is nothing we can do about that. However, when we did announce our situation MANY of you expressed the desire to help so here is what we need

But first, our next location is going to be a HOMEGROWN, GRASSROOTS sort of approach. Much like I always have I will have to get creative in how we open and how we fund the next operation that is where you may be able to help...
-
We will be collecting donations of items and things that can help get us open
* tables & chairs
*miscellaneous, unique decor
*miscellaneous art pieces
*furniture pieces - (couches,sitting chairs, end tables)
*miscellaneous cutlery (to continue to try and be environmentally friendly
*miscellaneous dishes, glassware
* we are open to ideas
* old sink or vanity?
* old lighting fixtures
* miscellaneous tile pieces or wood scraps that could be used to build counters?

I do have a vision, so everything may not be a great fit however, I am willing to come around and take away your unwanted items and help build our new space. Maybe it helps you offload something you are downsizing!I particularly like items that have a story and a meaning because every part of building this business has so much of that and we will share the story if you want or not at all! All of this can be kept 100% ANONYMOUS

The next location will feel WARM EARTHY, COMFORTABLE WELCOMING TO ALL, RELAXING. I want it to feel like it's always been there and it always will be a place that becomes a staple for the neighborhood and the community that surrounds it.

-COLD HARD CASH I do not know how else to say this and do not want to offend anyone but startup costs donations are something we are considering. I am currently looking into various forms of fundraising and will keep you posted on any campaigns I come up with. Funding a new restaurant while closing a current one is no joke. It is hard to make money in this business nevermind doing under strenuous circumstances. We do not want pity but really want a community driven movement to help get us to our next chapter if we can!

I have so many words of gratitude to our community but that will come later as we are still here

Our latest news

Yes, we are moving and no we still do not have all the answers. So many of you caring community members are rallying around us and inquiring about our move. We appreciate you and your enthusiasm about finding a new place. We still do not have all of the answers but sure wish we did. I am working diligently to secure our future but something like this does not happen quickly! There are so many details large and small to work out! Many of you want to help and have asked how to support us. We have some suggestions, thoughts and questions below!

Calls to action!

Choose us! When thinking of where to grab a bite to eat come on in and see what we have to offer. In order to keep operations strong some items may be limited (meals mostly) but we are working to make sure there is a delicious selection of our staples like baked goods, paninis, deli salads and more! So, please choose us from now - July 31st (our last day open).

Monday-Friday 7:30am-2pm

***we are taking a short break to let our staff recharge on Friday 07/03 & Monday 07/06

Community Support :

Some of you have enthusiastically offered to do anything to help so here is a list of what we need right now.

* We will need physical help with moving once we develop that plan so please be on standby for that if you are wanting to 08/01-08-06. All details to be announced later.

*CATERING!!!! - it is my goal to have 3 catering orders / day! Are you having a luncheon? Maybe a backyard party? *Angels-have you always wanted to be an angel investor and help keep the dream alive for hard working individuals who care deeply about providing service to the community? We are exploring several options such as traditional financing (not easy and not likely for a "newish" small business), fundraising, investor opportunities, partnerships and yes angel investing! please email Toni with your thoughts/ideas/or interest. [email protected] This business means so much to me and it really truly feels like this will be a new beginning and a chance to bring the full TRUE vision to fruition!....Think Magno Terra Provisions....more on that later : )

My staff: During this time 95% of customers are asking "where are you moving, what is the plan, will you be close? and so much more! We cannot thank you enough for caring so much to be this invested in our future. As the owner,i'd like to ask if we could give them a little break on all the questions because the truth is the plan is unfolding everyday and it is ever changing. I am HAPPY to have conversations with you though! So you can send all of your good intentioned inquiries my way : ) Please also know that as soon as soon as the plan is solid and firm you hear it shouted from the rooftops!!
