We are hiring another Fishing Guide for our 2026 Season Salmon season!

Pay: Day rate + hourly pay + tips
Season: Late June – First Week of October

The Yakutat Lodge is hiring a Fishing Guide for the 2026 season. We run high-volume guided trips on the Situk River and nearby streams targeting Sockeye, Pink, and Silver Salmon.

We’re looking for hardworking, positive people who enjoy fishing, working with guests and are passionate about the outdoors. Room and board included. All employees are subject to drug screening.

Requirements:
• Must be 18+
• Minimum 1 year rowing experience
• Strong people and communication skills
• Proficient in fly and conventional fishing
• Able to row long days in all weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license
• First Aid/CPR certified
• Punctual and dependable

Responsibilities:
• Guide daily fishing trips
• Maintain drift boats and company vehicles
• Communicate and plan with clients daily
• Work well under pressure and with a team

2026 SE Alaska Fishing Regs – Quick Update from the Yakutat Lodge

Hey everyone—ADF&G dropped the latest regs, here’s the quick rundown before you hit the water:

King Salmon

Residents: 2/day (28”+)

Nonresidents: 1/day (28"+)
You can keep up to 3 total king salmon from Jan 1 – June 30

After June 30, From July 1 through December 31, the nonresident annual harvest limit is one king salmon, 28 inches or greater in
length; any king salmon harvested from January 1 through June 30 will apply towards the one fish annual harvest limit.

Lingcod (Yakutat area)

Season: May 16 – Nov 30
Residents: 1/day, 2 in possession
Nonresidents: 1/day, 2 total for the season
One fish must be 55”+

Rockfish (Nonresidents)

Short season: July 1 – Aug 25
Limit: 1 fish total for the season
Species include: yelloweye, quillback, tiger, China, canary, copper, and rosethorn

We’ll keep you squared away on the water—just bring your rain gear and good attitude.
