š° Wyckoff Thai Cuisine Joins Historic Pad Thai World Record in Los Angeles
WYCKOFF, NJ ā A local New Jersey restaurant has earned international recognition after participating in a historic culinary achievement at the 2026 Songkran Festival in Los Angeles.
The team from Wyckoff Thai Cuisine recently traveled to Thai Town in Los Angeles to take part in a Guinness World Record attemptājoining dozens of top Thai restaurants from across the country in a high-pressure challenge: prepare and serve 1,200 plates of pad thai within one hour.
Under intense conditions and tight coordination, chefs worked side-by-side with more than 30 participating restaurants, carefully pre-portioning ingredients and executing a synchronized cooking process. The event ultimately exceeded expectations, with a total of 1,338 plates of pad thai served in just 60 minutes, officially setting a new Guinness World Record.
Wyckoff Thai Cuisineās team contributed to the effort with precision and teamwork, producing dozens of dishes during the timed challenge. The event, held along Hollywood Boulevard as part of the Thai New Year celebration, brought together chefs, cultural leaders, and food enthusiasts from around the world.
Beyond the record itself, the experience was a moment of cultural pride and connection. Participants had the opportunity to collaborate with fellow restaurateurs, share techniques, and celebrate Thai cuisine on a global stage.
