Somebody call the Vatican... because we've got TWO little blessings on the way! 👶❤️

Our very own Carley and Amanda are BOTH expecting, which means the Cornerstone family is growing faster than the crowds at the Trevi Fountain in Rome! 🇮🇹⛲

At this rate we're gonna need a stroller parking lot next to the deli window. 🤣

The good news? The babies aren't here yet, so we're still putting these ladies to work making your lunch. 😏

Rich, creamy, loaded with all the good stuff, and guaranteed to make you happier than finding a parking spot in downtown Rome.

🌶️🐔 CHICKEN POBLANO SOUP
A little smoky, a little spicy, and packed with flavor. Basically what happens when Michigan and a Sicilian Nonna decide to collaborate.

-PSA FROM YOUR FAVORITE SICILIAN WINDOW LADY-

Yesterday, we experienced a family emergency and had to close unexpectedly.

Unfortunately, because everything happened so quickly, we missed a few important things. We did not get a sign posted, and our online ordering system remained active when it should have been turned off.

Because of this, orders came through after we had already closed, and for that we sincerely apologize.

If you placed an order and were affected, please send us a message or give us a call. We will make it right.

As a small family-owned business, family emergencies sometimes happen without warning. That's not an excuse, just an explanation.

We take responsibility for the mistake and will make it right.

Reports are coming in that several Downriver residents are attempting to survive the afternoon on a granola bar and positive thinking.

Authorities are urging citizens to remain calm and head on over to Cornerstone Italian Deli, where witnesses have reported sightings of:

Stacked higher than Roman tax records.

The kitchen is loud, the soup is hot, and somebody is definitely yelling about olive oil in the background. Just another normal morning over here. 😂

And trust us on this one… get the chili topped with cheese and onions. That’s not a suggestion. That’s family guidance. 🧀🧅

Also stealing the spotlight today:

🔥 Sicilian Lemon Chicken

One with fresh mozzarella, basil, and tomatoes for a fresh, light taste. The other with shaved parmigiana, baby arugula, and our house made lemon aioli sauce… the kind of food that makes people close their eyes after the first bite like they’re in an old Italian movie.

And yes, we’ve got options for everybody.

🥖 Gluten free bread? Yep.
🌯 Wraps? Assorted flavors, even.
🥗 Salads? Almost too pretty to eat… but also impossible to resist.

Because around here, nobody gets left out.

One week ago, the outside of our building became Cornerstone Italian Deli. ❤️ 🇮🇹

5 days ago, we officially announced the name change. Honestly, the response has meant more to me than I can explain...

Seeing people share memories, tag friends, tell stories about this little building, and support what we’re building here has been overwhelming in the best way.

At the end of the day, we’re still the same neighborhood sub shop we’ve always been.
Same food. Same people. Same menu. Same slightly chaotic energy. 😂

The new name just finally feels like it’s ours.

Thank you for supporting me, my girls, and this dream of ours. Truly. ❤️
