Sorry for the spread out posts- we are ballin on a budget here.

Hunter & I were gifted a gift card to the in Worthington and last minute decided to use it on a date last night!
•
Y’all. When I tell you that this food was amazing I am not joking. To start, we each got a glass of sweet red wine. Hunter got a red blend and I got a cabernet. Then, we got the crispy Brussel sprouts. Neither of us typically are thrilled by Brussel sprouts but we just knew these were going to be amazing and we were so right. For entrees, I got the braised short rib sliders. They were pretty messy, but that may just be a user error 🙃. They were delicious! Hunter got the the Sunday supper pasta dish. He enjoyed it, he just isn’t typically a pasta guy. It might be a great pick for someone who loves pasta.

We couldn’t skip dessert, of course. We ordered the Grown Up Chocolate Cake which was a three layer thick chocolate cake. Each of the three layers were infused with a different type of crème liquor. It was so rich and came with a little chocolate truffle and chocolate liquor drizzle. I am still dreaming about this cake. I would go there just for this cake and the brussel sprout alone let’s be honest.

This restaurant is on the pricer end, but you definitely get your money’s worth with the food, service and atmosphere. I definitely recommend The Whitney House for a date night or professional dinner.

We have heard that the brunch is amazing too, so we will definitely be going back sometime soon for the brunch!

Hi Friends! I am in the process of revamping this page. My cupcakes aren't going anywhere! I will post updates and info on those as much as possible. However, I didn't want to limit myself to just cupcakes anymore. As I have grown, so have my baking interests as well as my food interests in general. This page will be more blog-style as I document my creations along with my inspirations. I hope you follow along for the ride!

2022 food was unmatched. So many new restaurants and flavors. New experiences. Innovation! I even tried my hand at growing my own food🍓🍅🥒.

Home for the weekend and stopped by ‘s oglebayfest. One of my favorite events in the OV for sure! After shopping through all of the craft vendors (with Christmas presents in mind😉), we had to stop for these yummy steak hoagies we track down every year. My mom had a giant gyro and pierogies instead that looked amazing. I wish I had gotten a photo! Definitely stop by Oglebay today while it’s still going on if you’re in the valley!

Went to Ritzy’s in Clintonville tonight! It was a quick but interesting experience.

Service:
The establishment closes at 9pm, but they had the ice cream register closed at 8:05 pm and had to ring us up at another register while someone else was also being rung out for food. While waiting for a friend to be rung up, one worker complained that another car came into the parking lot. Having experience working in ice cream, I know it can be stressful and looking forward to close is not a crime, but it should not be outwardly spoken at the expense of the comfort of customers that came with a whole hour to spare.

Ice Cream Quality:
I got two scoops. I got Richest Chocolate and Mint Oreo flavors. As you can see in the 3rd photo, the ice cream was quite icy. This is a big turn off for me knowing the potential to surpass the standards of identity that my fav mitchell’s, and other ice cream brands can have. It was disappointing. The second thing I noticed was that when I dipped into my richest chocolate flavor, I tasted mint due to the server not properly cleaning the scoop between dips. However, despite the texture, the flavors were 100% there and delightful. The mint was great and the oreo to ice cream ratio was perfect.

Cost:
I paid for myself and Hunter’s two scoops in bowls which came out to be $12 plus tip. So, the cup pictured was $6. I do not believe the quality and size matched the price based on the standards I have from my experience trying different stores.

Overall:
Overall, it hit the spot but it may not be a return for me. There are better ice creams out there with better service and quality for me. I may return to try their food at an earlier time to get the daytime lunch experience.

Is it too soon for soup season? I say no. Today I made my moms yummy instant pot wedding soup because it was quick and easy. It did not disappoint! I also picked up this french bread from target that I seasoned into garlic bread. I wish you could see the steam coming off of this bowl.🥰

this summer was truly a summer full of good food. here’s a few photos from my favorite Northeast Ohio stops from this summer!

is by far the best smoothie bowl place I have ever found. Their prices are amazing, their staff is amazing, and the bowls are amazing. The portions are huge and you’re allowed so many toppings before there is any additional charge.

2nd photo is a waffle and egg combo from over easy just next door to the fruit stand in acorn alley in Kent! Their waffles are huge but their pancakes are even bigger!! Hunter got the s’mores pancake and I have no idea how he finished it. Definitely a place to try for brunch but join the waitlist on yelp before you go-there’s a wait time for this popular place!
• Lastly, I had to mention this yummy creation from . This is a coconut cream custard with chocolate chunks. Just how I like it!

Northeast Ohio should not be over looked in terms of food scene. Columbus is flavortown, but there’s always great local food just around every corner

Chocolate Strawberry Cheesecake naked cake! Naked cakes are in style right now with the minimalistic crowd. They are very versatile in terms of decoration and flavor! They also have the perfect amount of icing to ratio cake! Happy Birthday !!
