Muddy's began as Muddy Waters Cafe in the lower level of Liberty Street Commons in Downtown Wooster over 15 years ago. They immediately began to open stores in the surrounding areas such as Orrville and Medina. They managed partnerships with the Cleveland Clinic and the JM Smucker Company as well. Within 2 years they operated 7 locations and it was at this point, Paula reminded Dennis that they go

t into business to be together, so they decided to downsize and focus solely on the downtown Wooster store. In 2010 they opened Muddy's Waters Bar and Grille with the first State of Ohio Entertainment District Liquor License issued and began the next chapter. They spent 5 years in the old Brenner Brothers store on the Square and realized more space was in order so they looked East, the direction they both hailed from originally. In 2015 they opened Muddy's in the old Art Bucher Cadillac Dealership, one of the last car dealerships to operate in a downtown, anywhere in America. This spot finally seemed right and from there the rest will be written. Come scribe your own part in our history.
