Looking for a fun summer adventure? The Greenwood General Store is proud to be one of 8 stops on the 2026 McHenry County Ice Cream Trail!

- June 1 – September 30, 2026
- Visit participating ice cream shops across McHenry County

Just a friendly reminder that Greenwood General Store will be closed on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, so our staff can spend time with family and friends.

We will be open until 8pm today so stock up on ice cream pints now if you plan on having them for tomorrow's picnic!

Lemon Meringue ice cream is BACK! Creamy marshmallow ice cream, bright lemon ice cream, and a swirl of lemon in every scoop.

Last year it was our best-selling seasonal flavor — and it disappeared FAST. If you missed it the first time, now’s your chance to grab a scoop or pint before it's gone.

That's not all as we are also serving up:
Root Beer Float — creamy vanilla ice cream swirled with nostalgic root beer flavor for that classic old-fashioned float taste. Try it in a shake or even as a root beer float ... float? Either way, it is absolutely delicious!

Bright blue sugar cookie ice cream packed with Oreos + cookie dough. Yes… it’s as ridiculous (and amazing) as it sounds.

Espresso Almond Fudge:
