Introducing the Chorizo con Papas taco: a handmade corn tortilla loaded with our potato and chorizo mix, salsa taquera, cilantro, onions, and queso fresco. Hearty, simple, and exactly what today calls for.

This weekend’s dinner special, Birria de Res.

Traditional beef birria, slow-simmered the way it’s meant to be, topped with fresh onions and served alongside de la olla beans, house rice, and warm tortillas. We send it out with chile de árbol sauce and limes on the side so you can build every bite exactly how you want it.

Croquettes: potato, chorizo, and cheese, panko-crusted and fried to order, served with chipotle mayo and salsa taquera on the side.

Crispy Pork Bites: crispy pork belly, topped with guacamole and queso fresco, resting on a bed of red sauce.

Both made from scratch in-house, same as everything else on our menu. Come try them.

Traditional, and worth the wait.

This weekend’s special: a traditional tamal stuffed with sliced poblanos, onions, corn, and cheese, topped with cheese, lettuce, and salsa taquera. Served a la carte.

Thursday means Chile Relleno day at Maria’s Cantina. A poblano pepper stuffed and fried to golden perfection, topped with melted cheese, served alongside our rice and beans made from scratch, the way it’s meant to be.

Sip on the Grilled Pineapple Margarita while you still can. El Jimador Reposado, house-made caramelized pineapple syrup, fresh lime, agave, and a kick of jalapeño, finished with a Tajín rim. September’s almost done, and so is this one.

Don’t forget: Happy Hour runs Wednesday through Saturday, 3-6pm in the bar area. Craft margaritas, good light, better company.

Tinga de Pollo: semi-fried corn tortilla stuffed with chicken tinga, lettuce, sour cream, salsa taquera, and cheese on top.

The crunch on this one is doing a lot of work.
