Constantines Restaurant was established in 1980 by Greek Husband and Wife team Steve and Eva Sfinarolakis. For the past 30 years, Constantines has become part of the Woodbury and Connecticut dinning community. Faithfully serving it’s customers high quality food, consistently prepared, all for an affordable price, Constantines has established itself as the go-to restaurant for friends, families, an

d strangers alike! Known for their fresh fish, daily and weekly specials, including Steve’s famous New England Clam Chowder and succulent grade A Angus Prime Rib, and their authentic home-style Greek specialties, Constantines has more than enough to satisfy even the pickiest of dinners. Their inviting atmosphere coupled with their warm waitstaff makes everyone feel at home, and along with a hot meal and a good drink, Constantines has proven itself to be one of the best places to eat in Connecticut. The last 30 years of service wasn’t an accident. And for those regulars who have been part of the Constantine’s community for the past three decades, we thank you for your patronage and look forward to seeing you, probably, tomorrow! I wanted to take a moment to talk about our real charcoal grill.

Our long time customer's will remember my predecessor, Steve. He once told me that he found this grill, referred to in our kitchen as simply "the charcoal", here already when he took over the restaurant. It is the only piece of equipment that has been in constant use here at Constantine's since before 1980. That means every souvlaki, every lamb chop and pork chop, every steak, and every burger ever cooked at Constantine's has been cooked on this charcoal grill. The cast iron grates have a seasoning on them that only decades of use could replicate, and the old fashioned charcoal briquettes impart a particular flavor that can't be achieved with propane alone.
