Happy Labor Day!

Hard to believe that Labor Dave Weekend has ended for those of us who chased the Dave Matthews Band to The Gorge Amphitheatre. Sad but true realization for us and all our east coast and Midwest friends who traveled to be here. But everything we got this weekend of music was pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥!!!

And it all started because our Midwest friends dropped into our cafe while in Gilford, NH, for DMB at BankNH Pavilion and then spread word of our business to the friends they had met in NH. And the circle grew, and the friendships strengthened, and then we all ended up at The Gorge together.

To all our new followers, we hope each of you lucky enough to get our little bags of Satellite Blend made special for Labor Dave Weekend will enjoy those, and also the cookies we handed out that are made by our friends at Cookie Bear Baking LLC.

We're beginning the trip home now and will see everyone soon again in Wolfeboro, NH, when we open on Wednesday morning at our cafe. Running on fumes right now, so it's a good thing we've got lots of coffee to fuel us!

Thank you Dave Matthews Band for EVERYTHING!!! You all put a very special energy into the world, and we love it!!!

So, Dave Matthews Band fans, while we were drinking our morning coffee this morning this happened, and it gave us goosebumps. We still have so much to share in some media dumps, but this post couldn't wait.

This was it's own moment this morning while drinking coffee after played "Big Wh***ey & the GrooGrux King" in its entirety last night.

Well, Jennica had a special moment this morning right after yoga at Cave B Estate Winery and got to meet Robert J Stevenson in person. He's been near us many times at many other Dave Matthews Band shows, but this morning was BIG HUG morning.

Now we are all gathered outside of the gates just waiting for The Gorge Amphitheatre to open for the day.

Special day, so far, and we can't wait for what's to come! Lots more pictures to come from our first Gorge adventure, and the beauty of it all is that coffee connected all of us fans to put us together for this moment!

Photo dump Day 2 - Labor Dave Weekend - Leavenworth, WA

Our crew used Day 0 to head to Leavenworth, WA, for the day to enjoy all this wonderful Bavarian-themed town offers. Jennica and I have been here before roughly 25 years ago, and it was fun to return with these friends.

A little Segway story...

All of us DMB friends first came together in 2024 when some folks from OH came to find us in Wolfeboro to get coffee while in NH for the DMB shows that year. THEY were the ones who told their newly-formed NH friends about us, and they found us the next day in Wolfeboro at our coffee shop. We've all been great friends since, and now we're in Washington state together for Labor Dave Weekend. So, I guess you could say the Dave Matthews Band and coffee brought us all together.

We had so much fun together today, and tomorrow we get to venture to The Gorge together to see the band we all love and respect so much.

Special thanks to J5 Coffee today for the mid-afternoon espresso fix of their Bourbon Maple Latte to keep me going.

We're loving every second of our time here in Washington!

We've had our coffee in Wenatchee, WA, and now we're off to Leavenworth, WA.

Photo dump Day 1 - Journey to see Dave Matthews Band at The Gorge Amphitheatre in George, WA.

After a 5.5 hour flight (with some good coffee...thanks Stumptown Coffee Roasters ) we headed east from Seattle through the incredible mountains of Washington heading to our home for ten of us for the weekend. The other six will arrive today.

Along the way we found this great roadside fruit and flower market, Anna- PNW fruit & flower farmer and stopped right at their closing time of 5PM. Like what we do at Lucas Roasting Company, they graciously stayed open so we could shop a bit for our stay in Wenatchee...THANK YOU!

Made it to our house on the Colombia River to drop off luggage and then headed into town to grab a great dinner at McGlinn's Public House which was a WHOLE VIBE! After a long travel day, it was just the perfect place to land with amazing food and great live music last night.

It's 6AM here today and already 9AM back home, and today our other six arrive from NH and OH. We are heading to Leavenworth today, and I'm sure there will be a great photo drop to come.

This is the first time at The Gorge for eight of the ten of us to see , and we all couldn't be more excited to be in this beautiful state to see our favorite people!

Our Wind and Water coffee is now brewing as we get ready for the arrival of everyone else and a Day 0 exploring the region.

People tell us all the time that they love reading our social media, and we think part of the reason for that is that as a company and as a family business we try to be as genuine as we can be in our storytelling.

For today's post, we just want you to know that today (without much fanfare) we've turned NINETEEN YEARS OLD as a company, and we wouldn't still be here if it wasn't for all of you supporting us as hard as you do each week🎉

We literally started by building our first roasting facility from the ground up at our home in Broadway, VA. Our boys, now 19 & 22, have ONLY known their Mom and Dad to be in coffee their entire lives.

In 2016 we uprooted from Virginia and moved to New Hampshire, which had been Jennica's home until she was 12, and basically restarted in a new place where no one but family knew us. And now here we are 10 full years after our move, and we are absolutely crushed beyond imagination by all of you who support us from all over the US!

We could have put up a thousand pictures in this post, but we simply chose a few that span that entire time. The boys were little then, but they are grown men now.

Thank you all so very much for supporting us as hard as you do! We are grateful for all of you!!! COFFEE IS A WORLDWIDE COMMUNITY, and it includes beautiful people and cultures of all walks of life. We hope you feel and taste the love of everyone who has contributed to your coffee every time you enjoy a cup. This industry is far bigger than us, and that's why we love it so much!
