It’s with a heavy heart that we’re announcing the passing of the owners Silvio & Janet Portesi. There have been numerous rumors about Portesi’s closing for good. This is not true. We will continue the same as we always have with their son Tony running things as he has been the last 15 years. So to publicly clarify, Portesi’s is here to stay and under new ownership by Sil & Janet’s son, Tony. We look forward to maintaining our business in Rapids for many more years.

With all due respect we will not be answering any questions about their passing because we do not want to keep reliving the medical tragedies we went through consistently for months.

Thank you all so much for supporting us for 63 years. We can’t wait to see that number continue to rise.
