Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve received dozens of messages asking what will happen to the original Cocina 214 sign and whether it might be available for purchase.

Rather than choosing just one person, we thought it would be fun to give everyone an opportunity to own this piece of Cocina 214 history.

So, we’re putting our ORIGINAL Cocina 214 sign up for auction to the highest local bidder.

For 15 years, this sign has welcomed guests through our doors, watched countless celebrations, first dates, birthdays, anniversaries, family dinners, and become a small part of so many memories. This sign has welcomed hundreds of thousands of guests, been featured in countless photos, and has been part of our story since the very beginning.

How to Bid:
• Place your bid in the comments below.
• Starting Bid: $250.
• Minimum bid increments: $25.
• Bidding closes at 3:00 PM EST on Sunday, May 31st 2026.
• Winner must pick up the sign locally in Winter Park before Noon EST June 2nd 2026.
• Payment will be collected before pickup.

The highest verified bidder at the close of the auction will have the opportunity to purchase this piece of Cocina 214 history.

After 15 unforgettable years, it’s time for us to say goodbye 💜🌮

So many of you have reached out asking if you could take home a little piece of Cocina 214, and we absolutely love that idea.

Join us this Saturday & Sunday (May 30th & 31st) from 10am–3pm for our “Take Home a Piece of Cocina 214 Sale.” From décor and artwork to tables, booths, glassware, equipment, and more… everything must go!

Whether you want the booth you always sat in, a margarita glass from your favorite happy hour spot, or just one last memory from Cocina, we’d love to see you.

Thank you for 15 amazing years of love, laughter, tacos, margaritas, celebrations, and memories. Winter Park will always hold a special place in our hearts. ❤️

The amount of love we’ve received since announcing the closing of Cocina 214 has been overwhelming in the best way possible. ❤️

Seeing so many familiar faces walk through our doors these past few days has been incredibly emotional for all of us. The messages, the hugs, the memories, the stories — we truly feel the love, and we cannot thank you enough for showing up for us the way you have.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU.

With only 6 days left, we know many of you are trying to come in one last time, and we are so grateful for that. We just kindly ask for a little patience and understanding while we do our absolute best to accommodate everyone. Our team is working as hard as they can, and while wait times may be longer than usual and things may feel a little hectic at times, please know we are giving this everything we have.

These final days mean the world to us, and we promise to continue giving you our best until the very last service.

Dear Cocina 214 Friends & Family,

After 15 incredible years, we are saddened to share that Cocina 214 will be closing its doors at the end of our current lease term. Our final day of service will be Friday, May 29, 2026.

This decision has not come easily. Our landlord sold the building and new owners will start the process of their own concept when our lease is up June 1. We explored many sites to relocate the restaurant but ultimately have not found the right place.

While we are heartbroken, we are also overwhelmed with gratitude.

What started as a dream in 2011 became something far greater than we ever imagined because of our great customers, employees, vendors, neighbors, and overall community.

Over the years, Cocina 214 became a place where friendships were built, families gathered, celebrations were shared, first dates happened, birthdays were toasted, and countless memories were made around our tables.

We have had the privilege of serving this community for over a decade and a half, and we cannot adequately express how thankful we are for your loyalty, support, and love throughout the years.

Many of you became far more than customers — you became part of the Cocina 214 family.

We are especially grateful to our incredible team, both past and present, whose passion, hospitality, and dedication made Cocina 214 what it was every single day.

Over the next week and a half, we hope our customers and friends will join us to enjoy their favorite dishes, share memories, and help us celebrate everything Cocina 214 has meant to so many people.
