⛳️ Birdies for Braden! 💙

Fontenot’s was proud to be a hole sponsor for the 6th Annual Birdies for Braden Golf Tournament! One of our owners, our longest-tenured server, and one of our favorite patrons hit the course for a great day supporting Lacrosse across Grand County and honoring the memory of Braden Burks.

We’re always grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another. 💙🥍⛳️

🎉 Well, would you look at that… Fontenot’s just happens to be CLOSED on one of the owners’ birthdays! Coincidence? We’ll let you decide…

Today we’re celebrating Chris, Sammy… however you know him! The man behind so many of the meals that have come out of the Fontenot’s kitchen over the years.

And apparently he’s become a bit of a local celebrity. 😂 When someone likes you enough to dress up AS YOU for Halloween—complete with the hair, mustache and signature look—you know you’ve made it. 🤣 The other photo pretty much sums him up too: good food, good friends and always having a good time.

So yes, Fontenot’s is normally closed today…but we’re officially saying it’s because Chris/Sammy’s birthday deserves its own holiday. 🎂🍻

Help us wish this one-of-a-kind guy a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY! And maybe start planning your Halloween costume now…apparently “Sammy” (and his lovely wife Linda) are already taken.

We are open:
Tuesday-Friday: 11:30am-8pm
Saturday-Sunday: 9am-8pm

As Fraser celebrates the Fraser Mountain Mural Festival this weekend, we’re reminded that art isn’t just something to admire—it’s something that becomes part of a community’s story.

Long before Fontenot’s found its current home in Winter Park, a local artist, Greg McFadden, created an incredible Bourbon Street mural for our original restaurant location nearly 30 years ago. He thoughtfully included the owners, their families, and many longtime local residents, making it far more than a painting—it became a snapshot of our community and the people who helped shape it.

Today, that original mural lives on inside our restaurant as individual art pieces, serving as a daily reminder that great art creates lasting memories and connections—just like great food shared around the table.

While you’re out enjoying the Fraser Mountain Mural Festival this weekend, stop by and experience a piece of local history while enjoying the Best of Grand brunch, lunch, or dinner!
